Mildura Co-operative Fruit Company Limited - Panel Publishes Reasons

The Panel has today published the reasons for the decision of the Panel in the proceedings (Proceedings) relating to Mildura Co-operative Fruit Company Limited (MCFC).

The Proceedings arose from three applications made by Mildura Investment Company Pty Ltd (MIC) on 27 January, 28 January and 11 February 2004 and one application made by MCFC on 30 January 2004 in relation to the off-market cash takeover bid by MIC for all of the issued ordinary shares in MCFC.

The Proceedings concluded following acceptance by the Panel of undertakings provided by MIC and MCFC and by the Panel making a declaration. The conclusion of the Proceedings was announced on 8 March 2004 in Panel media release TP 04/20, available on the Panel’s website at: Media Releases

The Panel was Simon McKeon (sitting President), Jeremy Schultz and Marian Micalizzi.
