Marathon Resources Limited - Panel Publishes Reasons

The Takeovers Panel (Panel) has today published the reasons for its decision in relation to an application dated 15 September 2006 from Buttermere Australia Pty Limited in relation to its takeover bid for all the shares in Marathon Resources Limited (see TP06/89).

Details of the Panel's decision to consent to the withdrawal of the application were announced on 15 September 2006 in a Panel media release TP06/95.

The sitting Panel which considered the application was Robyn Ahern, Martin Alciaturi and Guy Alexander (Sitting President).
